When disengaged, the saw rests firmly on the ground distributing weight directly to the floor, not the wheels. Three quick pumps of the foot pedal raises the saw. A light press on the release safely lowers the saw. Fully welded solid 1/4" steel construction / black powder coat. High performance full ball bearing casters.
